Thousand Year War Biography

Thousand Year War was originally formed by Hiram Lohr (Guitar, Vocals) in 2009 in Haines Alaska. Hiram moved to Anchorage, AK and was joined by Kellen Sharp(Guitar, Bass) and they begin to work on what would be the bands first full length, Tyrants and Men. They enlisted the help of session drummer Fredrik Widigs (Marduk, Nordhevel), and the album was released on the now defunct American label, Abyss Records. The album was a success and was well received as a cult classic throughout the world. As time went on Hiram and Kellen went their own ways. Hiram continued to record as Thousand Year War with an independent EP entitled “Kingdom of America”, which also featured Fredrik Widigs on drums. After the release Hiram decided to leave Thousand Year War on hold and pursue another musical adventure called Sex Dumpster. He released two indie albums. The first album was a full length called “Lord Alchohol”, and the second album an ep entitled, “Necropants”. Both albums were mixed and mastered by Dark Prod. Sweden darkprod.com

After these albums Hiram decided to pursue his true passion, Thousand Year War. Enlisting the help of Bryan Arant (Blood and Brutality, Seid) on drums. Now based in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, Hiram begin to write material in what would be the full length, “The Goddamned Lord”

The album is steeped in Norse Mythology and and a middle finger to Christianity and respect for the old ways of the northern beliefs of Asatru. The album was mixed and mastered by Seidr of Dark Prod. in Sweden who also made a guest appearance with his Tagelharpa on the instrumental track, “Sombre as the Shrouds”. The artwork was created by Timbul Cahyono of Bvllmetalart. Indonesian label, Sadist records has decided to release the album in 2021! Stay tuned!
