I will admit to being baited into buying this album by the esteemed Yoma’s bold assertion that this is deeper than Ultha or Det eviga leendet, and while I respectfully disagree on that point, I thank her for putting Khalasirna on my radar. This is not my first Indonesian BM album but it is now my best, and it is also among the most impressive debuts that I have ever come across, mostly because of the insane attention to detail throughout and relentlessly inventive melodies. Buy this, people!

Aww, c'mon folks. Over two years since the release of this brutal beauty and still just 10 people on it?
Tight. Incredibly tight. The depth and multidimensionality achieved here with the typical BM lineup of two guitars and stuff is incredible too. This is a debut - and the guys raised the bar extremely high for themselves, but for the rest of the world as well.
FFO Ultha, Det eviga leendet and such. But deeper. Yes I said it*.
